This past weekend I made the 71 mile trip back to Angola Speedway for the Super Late Model 75 lap - $2000 to win feature, along with the modifieds, street stocks and 4-cylinders.The Super Late feature was very competitive with Bud Perry jumping out to the early lead, then loosing the lead to Jack Landis until he retired early from the race with engine woes. Jeff Finley eventually made the pass for lead near the half-way point only to get passed by a hard charging Jeff Parr who went on to win the $2000 in decisive fashion.
The # 28 of Jimmy Carter ran a good race and finished 6th in the 75 lap feature after winning last week's $1500 top prize. The #28 is one of the nicest looking (and fast) Super Late Models competing this year. The team has been traveling to many tracks this year from their BrookPark, Ohio home base and have run very well at all their events.
